PRICE LIST
The initial membership fee for full membership represents compensation to IZUM for:
- ensuring the operation of the servers in the COBISS.XX system,
- maintenance of the COBISS software,
- use of central databases (COBIB.XX, CONOR.XX, COLIB.XX, etc.) in the COBISS.XX system,
- regular changes and updates of the documentation (e-manuals),
- telephone and email support podpora@izum.si.
The membership fee is paid by the libraries of private universities and special libraries of corporations. Yearly membership fee for a full-time member is calculated by multiplying the point value, which represents the average service value per COBISS software user, by a weighting corresponding to the largest possible number of simultaneous users of the COBISS software in one library (not including the COBISS+ and mCOBISS users). The lowest possible weighting is generally 2.

IZUM provides support to its users via telephone (+386 2 2520 333) and email (podpora@izum.si). The membership fees are tax-free in accordance with point 5, article 5, of the Slovene Value Added Tax Act (ZDDV-1).

Clients are not charged for the consumption of an entire node if they only need a few cores on that node. The unit for charging for hours of usage is the core hour, as the load management program records usage in this unit regardless of which node the computing job was executed on within a single computing partition. We divide the final number of core hours by 128 cores to get the number of node hours. Users are offered dual-threaded mode functionality, where one core can run two threads, meaning 256 threads are in use on one node. Individual threads are not taken into account when billing, the entire core is leased.
Computing resources for larger calculations can be allocated on a priority basis, which means that you have to wait each time for the resource management program to obtain as many resources as are needed for a particular computing task. In the case of exclusive resource reservation on computing partitions, use of all resources is taken into account for the reservation period for the planned scope of the reserve resources, even though these resources are not all used in this period.
IZUM is committed to respecting the principle of non-disclosure of commercial client data. This respect is expected to be mutual. Clients should also ensure that they regularly back up their data.
Potential clients can describe their wishes or requirements in the form, or they can contact user support by email at podpora@sling.si.These types of services include the following:
- adaptation of the existing software to non-standardized local needs (non-typical solutions, e.g. number of loans),
- conversions and bugfixes of local databases (downloading records from other systems, conversions when reorganizing a library, or bugfixes which are the responsibility of the library, automatic data updates on students, inventories, etc.),
- software implementations at the library location,
- training,
- computer engineering services (designing computer networks, maintaining peripheral equipment in libraries, etc.).

The price list for the sale of goods and services, including amendments and supplements, was adopted at the 10th correspondence session of the Management Board of the Institute of Information Science, which took place from 23 September 2024 to 27 September 2024, and at the 15th regular session, which took place on 17 December 2024. The price list comes into effect on 1 January 2025 and is valid until cancelled.
